Pictures of Peppermint Pleco, thanks to Lexcy Graham. The
Peppermint Pleco comes from
Brazil. It is popular for its colors. It is black with tiny white
spots over its entire body. The tank should be at least 50 gallons when plecos are present
and there should be lots of water movement, plants, rocks and hiding
places. The Peppermint will eat algae and leftovers from the gravel.
It will also eat pellets, freeze-dried bloodworms, tubifex and brine shrimp.
